Rashid Khalidi article

In The Nation, renowned historian and USCPR advisory board member Rashid Khalidi writes a powerful article about the 75th anniversary of the Nakba, when Israeli militias forced 75% of the native Palestinian population out of their homes and off their land.

As Rashid Khalidi points out, the illusions of Israeli’s propaganda machine erasing the Nakba to promote colonialism are now shattering, as awareness about Palestine increases.

“After 75 years of relentless, slick propaganda that created an unblemished image of Israel, there is increasing recognition among Americans of who is the oppressor and who the oppressed, and of the original sins of Israel’s establishment in 1948: ethnic cleansing, colonization, land theft, and the denial of the Palestinian people’s right of self-determination.”
