Privacy Policy

The US Campaign for Palestinian Rights (USCPR) strives to protect the privacy of visitors to our websites at all times. USCPR is the sole owner of information collected on our website and we do not sell, rent, or share any information collected here except with our affiliated organization US Campaign for Palestinian Rights Action (USCPR Action).

Why We Collect Information

USCPR is a national coalition of people like you interested in advancing Palestinian rights. We collect information from website visitors in order to keep our work growing and build our base, to improve the content and navigation of our website, and to alert website users and supporters about issues and updates. No information is shared with any other organization for commercial purposes and all information we collect is stored in a secure database.

USCPR will not sell, rent or trade our supporters’ names, postal addresses, email addresses, or phone numbers with any other entity other than USCPR Action unless noted on a sign-up page. For example, we may occasionally host petitions and other actions with a collection of member groups or partners. If so, the sign-up page will note that and will allow you to select whether or not you prefer to share information with these partners.

Collection of Personal Data on Our Websites

USCPR is committed to maintaining the privacy of those who visit our websites, uscpr.org and citiesforpalestine.org, and the website of our affiliated organization uscpraction.org. On these websites we do not collect personally identifiable information from individuals unless they provide it to us voluntarily and knowingly. Examples of times users may submit personal information include but are not limited to: making donations, signing petitions, identifying interest in a specific campaigns, and registering for an event or webinar.

In order to process credit card transactions online it is necessary to collect certain information, including the name of the donor, the address of the donor, the credit card number, credit card expiration date, and the card security code. In addition, USCPR may collect a telephone number and email address from those individuals who provide them.

Further, USCPR collects a mailing address from individuals who provide one. We send periodic correspondence regarding our initiatives, fundraising campaigns, and current events involving the movement for Palestinian rights.

We may also solicit for funds to support specific USCPR and USCPR Action programs in these mailings. We also use email and mailing addresses to provide acknowledgment of all contributions.

Occasionally, when supporters utilize USCPR systems to submit letters to their congressional representatives, they may be prompted to enter additional information beyond that which was collected in the original fields, such as a prefix or suffix. Each member of congress has different requirements for how to submit a letter. When new data is requested based on the target’s form, we do not store that additional data. It is used as an input to allow the supporter to fill out the requestor’s form.

If at any time you wish to have your name and personal information deleted from our records or if you would like to make changes to your personal information, including name, address, phone number, email address, credit card information, etc., we will strive to comply as quickly as possible. USCPR will not sell, rent, or trade a donor’s information with any organization except for its affiliated organization USCPR Action, nor will we send mailings on behalf of other organizations except for its affiliated organization USCPR Action.

USCPR is not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites and site visitors are encouraged to read the privacy statements of those sites. This privacy statement applies solely to information collected by our websites.

Changes to USCPR Privacy Policy

USCPR reserves the right, in its sole discretion and without any obligation, to modify or correct any errors or omissions in any portion of this policy. If our information practices change at some time in the future we will post the policy changes to our website to notify you of these changes and provide you with the ability to opt out of these new uses.
