Privacy Policy

The US Campaign for Palestinian Rights (USCPR) strives to protect the privacy of individuals who interact with us digitally, for example, by using our websites, email notifications, and SMS alerts. USCPR is the sole owner of information collected and we do not sell, rent, or share any information collected except, in certain instances, with our sibling organization, the US Campaign for Palestinian Rights Action (USCPR Action).
Why We Collect Information
USCPR is a national coalition of people like you interested in advancing Palestinian rights. We collect information from website visitors in order to keep our work growing and build our network, to improve the content and navigation of our website, and to alert website users and supporters about issues and updates. No information is shared with any other organization for commercial purposes and all information we collect is stored in a secure database.
USCPR will not sell, rent or trade our supporters’ names, postal addresses, email addresses, or phone numbers with any other entity other than USCPR Action unless noted on a sign-up page. For example, we may occasionally host petitions and other actions with a collection of allied groups or partners. If so, the sign-up page will note that and will allow you to select whether or not you prefer to share information with these partners.

Collection of Personal Data on Our Websites
USCPR is committed to maintaining the privacy of those who visit our websites, uscpr.org and and the website of our sibling organization, uscpraction.org. On these websites we do not collect personally identifiable information from individuals unless they provide it to us voluntarily and knowingly. Examples of times users may submit personal information include but are not limited to: making donations, signing petitions, identifying interest in a specific campaigns, and registering for an event or webinar.
In order to process credit card transactions online it is necessary to collect certain information, including the name of the donor, the address of the donor, the credit card number, credit card expiration date, and the card security code. In addition, USCPR may collect a telephone number and email address from those individuals who provide them.
Further, USCPR collects a mailing address from individuals who provide one. We send periodic correspondence regarding our initiatives, fundraising campaigns, and current events involving the movement for Palestinian rights.
We may also solicit for funds to support specific USCPR and USCPR Action programs in these mailings. We also use email and mailing addresses to provide acknowledgment of all contributions.
Occasionally, when supporters utilize USCPR systems to submit letters to their congressional representatives, they may be prompted to enter additional information beyond that which was collected in the original fields, such as a prefix or suffix. Each Member of Congress has different requirements for how to submit a letter. When new data is requested based on the target’s form, we do not store that additional data. It is used as an input to allow the supporter to fill out the requestor’s form.
Occasionally, we might use information in our database for phonebanks or other outreach efforts to connect committed activists for important opportunities to take action for Palestine. If you are contacted in such an instance, you have a right to opt-out and will not be contacted again if you do.
If at any time you wish to have your name and personal information deleted from our records or if you would like to make changes to your personal information, including name, address, phone number, email address, credit card information, etc., we will strive to comply as quickly as possible. Children’s Privacy
Our websites and programs are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without legally required parental consent. The US Campaign for Palestinian rights uses cookies on all our websites. Cookies are small pieces of text sent to a web browser when you visit a website. These cookies are stored in your web browser and allow the website to recognize you. By using our websites you consent to the use of cookies.

Opt-Out & Right to Be Forgotten Policy
If you supply us with your postal address, email address, or phone number, you may receive periodic communications from us with information about our programs and services. Collection of Mobile Messaging Information
Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third party.
USCPR, and our sibling organization USCPR Action, will send you four text messages per month on average. For help, text HELP or contact [email protected]. Text STOP to opt-out of text messages. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Disclosure to Third Party
USCPR will not sell, rent, or trade a donor’s information with any organization except for its affiliated organization USCPR Action, nor will we send mailings on behalf of other organizations except for its affiliated organization USCPR Action.
Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, maintain appropriate business and program records, comply with legal and tax obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect our rights and security.
The length of time we retain information depends on factors such as the nature of the information, the reason it was collected, the relationship between you and USCPR, legal requirements, and whether the information is needed for legitimate operational, compliance, archival, or security purposes. When information is no longer required, we will delete, de-identify, or securely dispose of it in accordance with applicable law and our records-retention practices.
Security
USCPR uses reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These measures may include access controls, encryption where appropriate, authentication controls, vendor due diligence, workforce training, and incident-response procedures.
No security measure is perfect, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we determine that a security incident has affected personal information, we will investigate the incident and provide notice as required by applicable law.

USCPR is not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites and site visitors are encouraged to read the privacy statements of those sites. This privacy statement applies solely to information collected by our websites.
Changes to USCPR Privacy Policy
USCPR reserves the right, in its sole discretion and without any obligation, to modify or correct any errors or omissions in any portion of this policy. If our information practices change at some time in the future we will post the policy changes to our website to notify you of these changes and provide you with the ability to opt out of these new uses.
