USCPR is a political home for all who believe that freedom for the Palestinian people is essential for our collective liberation. We’re building the largest grassroots Palestinian solidarity movement in the United States, and will channel that power toward ending military funding of Israel and ultimately its illegal apartheid regime. 

To bolster our movement, we also work with policymakers, movement leaders, media, and advocacy organizations to advance a rights-based, accountability and justice-oriented framework from the U.S. to Palestine.

Coalition Manager

POSITION: Coalition Manager
REPORTS TO: Organizing & Advocacy Director
POSITION TYPE: Full-time 
START DATE: 6/2/2025
LOCATION: This is a full-time remote position, based in the US.
COMPENSATION: $78,500 or higher, depending on years of relevant experience. USCPR has a transparent salary ladder based on years of relevant experience. For example, 6-8 years of experience for this position would be around $84,000.

POSITION SUMMARY

The US Campaign for Palestinian Rights (USCPR) is hiring a full-time Coalition Manager to join our close-knit team of passionate individuals dedicated to advancing Palestinian liberation at the intersection of grassroots organizing, policy change, and popular education.

The Coalition Manager will lead, expand, and consult on structure for USCPR’s #StopArmingIsrael coalition, a diverse group of organizations and leaders working toward Palestinian liberation, and play a role in building our online communities and coalitions of local activists and supporters. This coalition aims to unite the broader US-based Palestinian rights movement and support campaigns focused on ending US military funding to Israel. These campaigns may include efforts such as municipal divestment, an arms embargo, and boycotting corporations invested in harm.

The ideal candidate has fantastic written and verbal communication skills, experience communicating with leadership at organizations, and an ability to understand and navigate the political nuances of various groups with their own goals coming together with limited time. You are well-organized, self-starting. able to respond to partners within 24 hours or sooner, and are well-informed about the Palestinian struggle for freedom (and ideally its connections with other justice movements).

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate closely with our program and political teams, manage the diverse coalition of groups and leaders working alongside USCPR to Stop Arming Israel
    • Remain up-to-date and maintain an understanding of programs advocacy campaigns
    • Write and develop materials related to the coalition, such as emails, memos, agendas, slide presentations, etc 
    • Maintain relationships with key USCPR stakeholders
    • Draft agendas, recruit speakers, and manage most elements of our monthly coalition calls; including managing spreadsheets, lists, and other collateral associated with the coalition to track and drive engagement. 
    • Set up Zoom meetings for monthly coalition calls and smaller working groups or strategy space tracks, both digitally and in-person
    • Manage and oversee  the coalition membership application process, including recruiting and vetting groups to join the coalition.
    • Onboard coalition partners through presentations, 1:1s, group calls, etc
    • Moderate any digital coalition spaces, such as Zoom, Slack, email list-servs, etc 
  • Support Digital Organizing Manager in organizing virtual digital spaces to engage individual supporters into the priority campaigns USCPR is leading or supporting.
    • Collaborate with our digital organizing team and programs team to support engaging volunteers across the country to build collective power for Palestinian liberation
  • With the support from Comms, update and maintain the “Connect with a Local Group” map of local grassroots organizing groups and organizations.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4+ years of political organizing experience
  • A track record of working with stakeholders, managing political relationships, or other coalition-based work 
  • Demonstrated understanding of how organizations in the progressive ecosystem position themselves, operate in coalitions, and work together 
  • Demonstrably excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • In-person activism and organizing experience  
  • Deep knowledge of Google Documents, Sheets, Slides, or similar tools
  • Working knowledge of Slack, Email list services, Zoom, and other tools for managing meetings and online communities 
  • Familiarity with organizing CRMs like EveryAction and ActionNetwork
  • Well-versed in the movement for Palestinian liberation
  • Arabic language skills a plus

Development Associate

POSITION SUMMARY

The US Campaign for Palestinian Rights (USCPR) is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Development Associate to strengthen our people-centered approach to grassroots fundraising, donor stewardship, and data accuracy. This role is ideal for someone passionate about both back-of-the house donor data and systems and front-of-the house contact with donors.

The ideal candidate has a deep commitment to Palestinian liberation and experience in development, communications, and/or data management.  You are hyper-organized, able to communicate with donors of different generations, and able to balance the work of data infrastructure (database & data collection, automations, etc), alongside donor communications (thank you notes, phone handling, etc). 

You are well-informed about the Palestinian struggle for freedom (and ideally its connections with other justice movements), and self-starting. 

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Enter donations and reconcile revenue reports in CRM, including:
    • Capture and enter check and other mailed donations
    • Upload all donations from external sources 
    • Reconcile daily online revenue batches, deposit checks
    • Generate timely acknowledgment for gifts
  • Manage donor and supporter data in CRM database, such as:
    • Input data for new supporter records
    • Lead continuous data cleaning (eg. flagging incomplete data and deduplication)
    • Contribute to analysis and reporting of donor data, esp. For online, direct mail, and OBC giving
    • Conduct weekly and quarterly OFAC checks on donations/donors
  • Manage a common shared email inbox and Development Zoom line
  • Assist with the creation, planning, and execution of virtual and in-person fundraising events
  • Assist with the implementation of direct mail. online, and monthly donor programs 
  • Help to identify prospective major donors though research and analytics
  • (Potentially) Coordinate membership program, including renewals and communications.
  • Perform other projects assigned by the Development Director

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2-4 years of experience in development or communications, preferably in the nonprofit or social justice sectors
  • Experience with data management, CRM tools, detailed record-keeping
  • Experience with stewarding donors and writing fundraising copy
  • Well-versed in the movement for Palestinian liberation

POSITION SUMMARY

The US Campaign for Palestinian Rights (USCPR) is seeking a full-time Digital Organizing Manager to join our team.

This critical role is ideal for an individual passionate about mobilizing people toward collective action for Palestinian liberation, with a deep knowledge for how the online and offline worlds are colliding and intersecting in this unique moment.

The Digital Organizing Manager will oversee USCPR’s digital organizing programs, focused on building an engaged online community of thousands who support our advocacy and action efforts. To mobilize thousands, you will create content, host digital events, and elevate volunteer leadership to lead distributed teams focused on advocacy and action goals across the country.

In this role you’ll help execute a distributed organizing strategy that effectively empowers everyone to take action toward our North star goal to end U.S. military funding to Israel, regardless of how much time, money, or political power they currently have. 

You are an organizer at heart, and have run large digital organizing programs to drive folks to take action, online and offline. You’re aware of the latest digital organizing tech and trends (relational, peer to peer texting, etc.) and have experience training others on how to use them. You bring technical expertise, creativity, problem-solving skills, a commitment to our mission and values, strong interpersonal skills, and a never-ending desire to learn.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • With guidance from directors and in collaboration with the wider team, build out the strategy, plan, and processes for this new stream of work, organizing an engaged online community of individual volunteers and supporters to take action toward our advocacy and action goals
  • Establish day-to-day processes to run this distributed organizing program, including a digital community on Discord, Slack, or similar platforms, community guidelines, trainings offered, best practices for generating volunteer signups, event RSVPs, etc
  • Manage USCPR digital communities within a distributed organizing model, with a focus on community building, training, empowering, and volunteer leadership
    • Implement the ladder of engagement for individual volunteers and supporters to plug in and take action
    • Lead and create digital organizing content including email/SMS blasts, online forms, digital events, toolkits, and training to move them up the ladder of engagement, using platforms such as EveryAction, Action Network, Zoom, and more
  • Manage the Mobile Messaging Inbox in EveryAction and volunteer digital organizing platform(s) to reply to questions from supporters and volunteers within 2 business days
  • Infuse digital organizing goals and tactics into all of our programs and campaigns
  • Train staff, volunteers, and others on digital organizing concepts and best practices
  • Foster an inclusive learning environment that promotes equity and excellence in digital organizing efforts
  • Produce weekly reports on digital organizing metrics for accountability and reporting back to leadership
  • Communicate across departments to promote collaboration and ensure digital organizing resources (tools, staff time, etc) are being used as efficiently and effectively as possible
  • Pitch in on rapid response and breaking news communications tasks as needed
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4+ years in organizing and digital organizing, with increasing levels of responsibility as well as experience managing staff/volunteers and designing programs.
  • Ability to collaboratively define and articulate key digital organizing terminology and best practices
  • Strong familiarity and proficiency with common tools used in the progressive space, including EveryAction, Action Network, Discord or Slack, Zoom, WordPress, Squarespace, peer-to-peer tools (e.g. Spoke, ThruText, Switchboard etc), auto-dialer tools, relational organizing tools (eg. Reach, Impactive), & social media 
  • Demonstrated experience working with program & organizing, communications, and other teams to drive cross-departmental goals through digital organizing 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and collaboration skills 
  • The ability to juggle multiple, competing priorities at once, while also communicating with stakeholders the progress and timeline for delivering on tasks and projects

POSITION SUMMARY

The US Campaign for Palestinian Rights (USCPR) is seeking a full-time Managing Director to join our team. 

This leadership role, reporting to the Executive Director, is ideal for an individual passionate about the internal operations of an organization and laser focused on advancing Palestinian liberation through grassroots organizing, policy change, and popular education. 

The Managing Director will oversee the organization’s department leadership, internal planning, evaluation processes, and most things related to internal operations and excellence. 

While a critical partner in the overall strategy of the organization, the Executive Director will lead conversations rooted in strategic vision with department heads directly, while you focus on day to day management and implementation of that vision. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Implementing Strategic Vision Across Organization(s): Lead the team in internal processes related to implementing USCPR’s strategic vision and goals, ensuring alignment with our mission and values. This could include setting SMARTIE goals for campaigns and departments; creating processes to hold teams accountable, debrief, and otherwise sharpen our work through international communication. 
  • Operational Management: Oversee daily operations and management of all director level staff (currently Communications, Development, Advocacy/Organizing), ensuring efficient and effective processes across all departments, with a particular eye towards maximizing the impact of our small team driving movement power building. Work with directors to ensure each department & team member have detailed work-plans that are clear on goals, tasks, roles, deadlines, decision points and evaluation metrics, all in line with the organizational priorities established by the Executive Director. Your focus will be on excelling as a manager and leader of teams. 
  • Calendar Management and Coordination: Oversee, assess, and refine the agendas and goals of core meetings that power collaboration and work at USCPR. Centralize the organization’s calendar to track internal and external priorities. 
  • People Management, Human Resources, and Leadership: Ensure that how we work together reflects USCPR’s values. Oversee evaluation, accountability, and all things people at USCPR, including strengthening HR policies and timesheet record-keeeping. Mentor and support staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment. 
  • Program Oversight: Assess the planning, implementation, and evaluation of some subset of USCPR’s key programs and campaigns to support the programs department.
  • Decision-Making Management: As we face forks in the road of our organizing and marathon towards Palestinian liberation, facilitate meetings that help the team make decisions, including utilizing a decision making matrix, log, and transparent process for the team to participate in. 
  • Financial Management: Oversee operations and bookkeeping staff; develop and manage the annual budget, build reporting mechanisms, ensuring financial stability and accountability.
  • Event Management: Overseeing the planning and execution of events (staff retreats, board meetings, conference planning). Partner with USCPR teams and provide direction and/or access to resources to ensure successful events.
  • Cybersecurity and IT: Responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of the organization’s cybersecurity strategy to ensure the security of IT systems, data, and infrastructure. Additionally, oversee the development and deployment of new technology platforms and digital experiences.
  • Other projects as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience: 7+ years in a senior leadership role, preferably within non-profit or advocacy organizations, and 10+ years in movement ecosystems or progressive politics
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead diverse teams, manage complex projects, and drive organizational growth. Demonstrated experience in empathetic leadership, caring for others, investing in the capacity of people and teams you manage, and fostering a culture of feedback, accountability, and excellence. 
  • Process Management: Excellent ability to manage projects in task software like Asana or in spreadsheets, bring teams together, set goals, deadlines, and otherwise create processes for work to happen efficiently and effectively. 
  • Financial Acumen: Strong background in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to inspire and mobilize staff towards our vision, lead conversations towards solid decisions, and resolve conflict when necessary. 
  • Event Management:  Past experience supervising teams to carry out external and internal events.
  • Commitment to Justice: Deep understanding of and commitment to the Palestinian struggle for freedom and its intersection with other justice & liberation movements.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with digital tools and platforms used in advocacy, organizing, and cybersecurity, and other similar tools.
