For the previous fifty years, the United States has opposed Israel’s construction of settlements in Occupied Palestinian Territory. Despite this opposition, Israel has continued building settlements, threatening the prospects of a two-state resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian issue.
Hear from leading Palestinian human rights organizations, activists, and analysts about how settlements impact Palestinians living under Israeli military occupation.
At this briefing, the US Campaign for Palestinian Rights will also be presenting a policy memo on steps that Congress and the Executive Branch can take to make US opposition to Israeli settlements more effective. Copies of the policy memo will be available at the briefing.
Members of Congress, Congressional staff, Executive Branch employees, the media, and the general public are invited to attend this briefing.
