How To Boycott Chevron for Palestine

As Israel bombs hospitals, homes, universities, and UN schools in Gaza, we are not helpless to stop fueling the fire. Just as the Palestine solidarity movement has exposed Israel as a genocidal pariah state, we will expose Chevron as a genocide profiteer.
Does Chevron Support Israel?
Chevron’s gas fields in the Mediterranean Sea keep Israel’s genocide machine running. The numbers tell a clear story: Almost all of Israel’s natural gas use in 2022 was supplied by Chevron, accounting for about 70% of all electricity produced in the apartheid state. Without Chevron’s power supply, this devastation couldn’t continue.
In 2022 alone, Chevron funneled over $462 million in tax revenue to Israeli government coffers. That money fuels the bombing of Gaza and the violent displacement of Palestinians1. The time for action is now.
How To Boycott Chevron
You can boycott Chevron, Texaco, and Caltex starting right now! Each person who joins the boycott will organically bring in more people as they redirect their loved ones to other gas stations.
The #BoycottChevron campaign follows in the footsteps of the anti-apartheid gas station boycotts against Shell, a campaign that impacted Shell’s share of the UK gas market and advanced major divestment wins that catalyzed the end of South African apartheid3. When we unite Palestinian rights advocates with climate justice organizers and Indigenous communities fighting Chevron’s extractive violence, we become unstoppable.
1. Join Our Coordinated #BoycottChevron Weekend of Action

This weekend, communities worldwide are mobilizing to:
- Pressure local Chevron stations (including Texaco and Caltex) to disaffiliate
- Build coalitions between Palestinian rights and climate justice movements
- Hit Chevron where it hurts: their profits and public image

2. Watch The #BoycottChevron Training
Never organized something like this before? That’s okay—we all start somewhere. Every new activist builds our power. If you’ve been wanting to do more but aren’t sure how to start, watch the recording of a crash course training: “From Supporter to Organizer: How to Take Action with the Boycott Chevron campaign.”
We’ll walk through everything you need to know to take meaningful action in time for the Weekend of Action and beyond:
- Step-by-step how to plan your first Chevron location visit or picket
- Effective ways to approach gas station owners
- Small but impactful actions for “beginner” supporters to participate in
- Tips for building a local team
3. Take Action!
There are plenty of ways to get involved in the #BoycottChevron campaign. Here are a few options to consider:
Put up stickers and posters around Chevron locations to raise awareness of their crimes.

Small acts of resistance help build pressure and educate the public. Order stickers here or print your own stickers! Too late to get your hands on stickers? Find a chalk marker and spread the word on your car windows.
Picket a Chevron location and march between gas stations.

Watch our training to learn how! The fight against colonialism and corporate destruction of our planet are intrinsically linked—Chevron has been sued for violence against Indigenous communities in over 30 countries, including 13 accusations of genocide2.
Visit Chevron station owners with our coalition letter.
Our coalition letter explains the legal and financial risks of genocide complicity. Many owners don’t know about Chevron’s role in genocide—and some are already pledging to disaffiliate once they learn.

Don’t have a Chevron branded gas station near you? Chevron sells consumer products at auto stores across the country! Learn more in this toolkit about how to look up shops near you where you can flier to tell your neighbors to boycott Chevron products!
Let Your Anger Fuel Action
We cannot allow our planet to be made uninhabitable. We cannot allow for Indigenous and marginalized peoples to be attacked and erased by colonial, racist, and capitalist forces. Not in Palestine. Not anywhere.
Onward to liberation,
