Show the Democratic Party Platform Committee You Support Palestinian Rights

Last week, we shared a video with you of Cornel West speaking out in strong support of Palestinian rights and the boycott, divestment, sanctions (BDS) movement at a recent hearing of the Democratic Party’s platform drafting committee.

As I wrote in The Hill, the Democratic Party could be headed for a showdown over its policy toward Israel and the Palestinians this summer.

And guess what? The showdown could be happening this Friday and Saturday in St. Louis as the committee is scheduled to vote on its draft platform—and we know that some supportive members of the committee will be advocating for including Palestinian rights.

Can you attend this important public meeting and show the Democratic Party how much grassroots support exists for Palestinian rights?

The meeting will be held at the St. Louis Grand Hotel, Crystal Ballroom, 800 Washington Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63101.

Friday’s meeting begins at 9AM and Saturday’s meeting starts at 8:30AM. More details are here.

The event is free and open to the public, but you should RSVP here. Seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Bring your kuffiyeh and Palestine solidarity t-shirt to the meeting to show the Democratic Party that voters like you support Palestinian rights.

Also, you can download and print out 8.5 x 11 inch signs and stickers (compatible with Avery 5294 labels) that you can bring to the event as well to make your support for Palestinian rights visible.

If you plan on attending the meeting and would like to help us distribute signs and stickers, please contact Tamar Ghabin, Government Affairs Associate by email or phone at 202-332-0994.

Thanks for taking action and showing political parties that people support Palestinian rights!
